Individual & Family therapy

We are all survivors of something, we all deserve to heal. Healing from our traumas, experiences and working through our mental health takes time, commitment and patience. You can not expect a seed to grow once it has been planted. Healing is a gift you to give to yourself.

I am a holistic psychotherapist who specialize in:

Trauma

  • Trauma is anything event that has had an impact on your life.

  • Trauma is an unsafe experience that happened to you, and changed your life.

  • We are all unique beings, trauma manifest in different ways including difficulty sleeping, feeling nervous or on edge, constantly thinking about the event, being afraid to live the life you want to live, depression, mood swings, body pain, including body pain and headaches and being critical of yourself and others.

Anxiety

Inner Child

Career/ Work related Issues

Health Care Professionals

  • Our inner child is the part of us who wants to be love and has been hurt. We all have an inner child who needs kindness, love and support. We all have a story. We tend to think that our stories define us, in truth we define us. Our hurt and past does not.

  • Part of healing this inner child to rewriting our stories and reclaiming. We don’t have to hold on to the past, our past doesn’t define us.

  • We all deserving love, we all deserve to nourish our inner child

First Generation

  • First generation are people whose parents came to to the United States. Often times, first gens feel like they live in this “middles.” Where during the school day they are “American,” speaking English and eat “American foods,” And then in the afternoon they may speak another language, eat different foods and overall have a different culture. This as a child may be confusing and effects the way one sees their world. Feeling like you’re in the middle can be feeling like you have to chose. But I am here for you. You don’t have to chose, it doesn’t have to be an or it can be an and. We can choose to heal, implement boundaries in our lives and still embrace our culture to the fullest.

  • As a first gen myself, I feel you. I know what it is like to carry generational trauma, to chose healing. Let’s chat, and see how I can help you heal and be your best self.

  • Our relationships and work are the two big triggers in our lives. However, we tend to focus on relationships more, even though our work can be reflection on what is going on in the inside, can trigger us, frustrate us, make us feel like we have no power, that we are lost and for some of us, be the biggest stressor in our lives.

  • I am here for you. I have been there, balancing work and professional boundaries, having to figure out systems and the work field on my own, constantly burning fires while neglecting one’s wellness. The truth is that we can not be our best selves if we do not take care of ourselves. You are a WHOLE being, we can work together to empower you to work on ALL the parts of you, including navigating the work felid, balancing a personal life and creating balance.

  • As a healthcare professional you may be feeling overwhelmed, triggered by your work, stressed, lost, tired and in these moments: scared.

  • Working in the healthcare felid is rewarding, you tend to put everyone else’s need in front of your own. But what about you? How are you doing? I am here for you. As a holistic psychotherapist I am trauma centered and specialize in anxiety. I can help you work through your anxiety, trauma and take care of yourself. We can not give, give, and give if we are not full.

As a holistic therapist I integrate different approaches to best fit your needs.

Centered in trauma and oppression analysis using:

  • Internal Family Systems:

    • Looking at the different parts of you. Who is coming up when you are being triggered? Is it your five year old self, or anger, your hurt? Who? What is your gut saying?

    • This approach is a mind-body approach, together we will identify the different part that make you, you. How to heal each part of you with kindness and compassion, while also how to fill each part of you. We are whole beings.

  • Spiritual Healing:

    • As Thich Nhat Hanh says we are all inter-being with one another, centered about inter-being working through what YOU believe in, using sound (singing bowls), mediation and other forms of healing to best fit your needs. This approach is not centered in any specific religion.

    • Working from the intersection of mind and body: eastern & western spiritual philosophy and practices included.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

    • This approach is centered around exploring, process and reclaiming the trauma you have faced. Providing you with techniques to work through the trauma, and take back your power over your life.

    • Together will work on integrating mindfulness, breathing, and reframing exercises.

  • Play & Sand Tray Therapy/ Expressive Art’s therapy

    • These approach are not only for children! There are many ways to honor our stories, past and trauma. Sand and art are ways we can explore what comes up for you and create awareness to what is happening on the inside.

    • Children & Families: Sand Tray, Play & Art are great ways to model healthy attachment, rules and healthy communication with children. With compassion and kindness I will work with your child to provide a safe space so they can explore their trauma, anxiety or attachment.

We can work on what healing looks like for you. I believe that everyone has their own self determination, and I work with each individual to empower them to find their path.
