I believe that everyone has their own self determination, and we work with each individual to empower them to find their path. You deserve healing.

Trauma/ Intergenerational trauma: Feeling overwhelmed, trapped, stuck, helpless

  • Feeling overwhelmed is a sign that something from the past (an experience, loss, false narratives) has been stored within the body, it's called trauma.

  • Trauma is any event that has an impact on your life. Trauma is an unsafe experience that happened and changed your life (an experience that our bodies and nervous system have sense was unsafe for the whole).

  • This includes loss of a relationship or person, abuse that includes sexual, emotional or physical, neglect as a child.

  • We are all unique beings, and trauma manifests in different ways. This includes difficulty sleeping, feeling nervous or on edge, over-thinking about past events, fear of living the life you want, depression (sadness), mood swings, body pain, and being critical of yourself and others.

How I can help?

  • In therapy, we walk the healing path together. I hold space for us to explore and process your story, your past experiences, and your truth. Most important, healing your relationship with yourself.

How we will do this?

  • When we experience trauma, we often feel alone. Our personal experiences may leave us feeling unworthy of healing. The truth is, we are all worthy of healing—you are worthy of healing.

  • We will focus on your wellness and empower you to name your story, and reclaim your life.



    Anxiety: feeling on edge, irritable

  • Anxiety is a reaction from an unsafe experience. It is our body's natural response in trying to regulate itself from the unsafe experience.

  • When anxiety manifests in your life & body, it can affect the way you function each day. This is also seen as a disconnection from self.

  • A few common anxiety signs and symptoms include:

    • Feeling nervous or on edge

    • Irritability

    • Trouble sleeping

    • Excessive worrying

    • Daydreaming

    • Fatigue

    • Difficulty concentrating

    • Tense muscle

    • Body pain

    • Headaches

    • Brain fog

    • Panic attack

  • Anxiety can also stem from having various stressors. A few examples include:

    • Work

    • Relationships

    • Social life

    • Children

    • Parenting your parents or being a “mom friend.”

How I can help:

  • In therapy, we will work together to explore and process the root causes of your anxiety. With my gentle approach, we will hold sacred space to work on addressing these root causes in your life.

  • I will empower you and support you, while we explore coping skills that will aid in your healing. 

  • Along with EFT tapping, sound healing and other holistic healing as a team—we will support you in coming home to yourself. 

Inner Child Healing

  • During childhood, we were either praised or punished for our actions and behaviors. Oftentimes, we internalize this and treat ourselves the same way as adults.

  • Inner child's wounds may also look like feeling abandoned, neglects, feeling as thought your feelings are “wrong,” or there is something “wrong with you,” guilt and/ or shame. As a result we may believe that we are unworthy of love, connection or/ and that we are not important.

  • It can also stem from being a parentified child. Parentification is when a child has to take on the role of an adult.

  • You may feel “needy,” fearful of boundary setting, or feel you are a bad person for setting boundaries.

  • Abandonment wounds stems from a caretaker threatening to leave, or leaving you somewhere. It can also stem from a caretaker not being emotionally or physically present. This may show up as feeling left out, fear of being alone or people not liking you.

    How I support your inner child:

  • My belief is that we all deserve to feel seen, heard and supported.

  • In therapy, I walk with you and help you identify young parts of you and connect with your inner child archetype. Together, we meet your inner child and empower you to nourish, nurture and spend time with your inner child. 

  • Using traditional & non-traditional holistic forms of healing, we will unpack childhood wounds. This includes mother & father wounds, and friend wounds. We will tend to these wounds and care for your heart and your soul in the process.

First Generations

  • First generations (first gens)are people whose parents came to the United States. 

  • As a first generation, you may feel in the “middle.” Oftentimes, the first generation may feel disconnected.

  • You may often feel pressure. Pressure to “do better” for your family, and "parent" your parents. As a child, you may have played the role of the parent and carry a lot of responsibility. 

  • As a first generation Dominican, I can relate. I know what it's like to carry generational trauma, and to choose healing. I want to talk with you, to see how we can help you heal and be your best self.

How we can heal together:

  • Together, we will unpack your experiences and hold space for what arises from childhood. 

  • We will walk together on the healing path and explore how we can support your inner child. 

  • I will empower you to embrace all the beautiful parts of you and rise up as your authentic self. 

Mother Wound

  • The mother wound is a deep wound. This wound may show up in different ways, some common ones look like being the “mom friend.” The plan-maker, the one who everyone is, and the “fixer"  in your family and having parent roles. You may even feel that you are "mothering" your mother. 

  • It may be hard for you to find balance in your life. Oftentimes, our mother wounds result in people-pleasing, lack of boundaries, and no personal time. 

How I can support you:

  • Together we will unpack and tend to your mother wound. You deserve time for you, and you deserve to feel loved and supported. 

  • I will walk with you on the healing path. We will learn how to set healthy boundaries for yourself and take back your power to feel whole.

Career | Work-related Issues |

  • I've been have been there, balancing work and professional boundaries. Having to figure out systems and the field of work on my own. 

  • It can feel like burning fires, while neglecting your wellness. The truth is that we can't be our best selves if we don't take care of ourselves. 

  • You are a whole being. Together, we can work to empower you in working on all parts of you. This includes navigating the field of work, balancing personal life, and creating balance.

  • I am here for you—As a holistic psychotherapist, I am trauma-centered, and specialize in anxiety. I can help you work through your anxiety, trauma and help you take care of yourself.

Centered in trauma and oppression analysis using:

Jungian therapy:

  • Jungian therapy is an in-depth, analytical form of talk therapy designed to connect the conscious and unconscious parts of the mind. This helps a person feel balanced and whole. 

  • I will walk with you on the healing path, taking a deeper dive into the shadows. Our shadows are  feelings that affect our behaviors, and are often buried deep in our psyche.

  • Jungian therapy can help improve the lives of those with depression, anxiety, grief, relationship or trauma issues, low self-esteem, or other emotional problems. 

  • I will provide insight on the different archetypes (inner guides) we hold, and explore the different parts that make you, you. 

Internal Family Systems:

  • Looking at the different parts of you—Who is coming up when you are being triggered? Is it your five year old self, or anger, your hurt? Who? What is your gut saying?

    • This approach is a mind-body approach. Together, we will identify the different parts that make you, you. How to heal each part of you with kindness, compassion, and fill each part of you—We are whole beings.

Curanderismo

  • I believe in honoring our roots, the earth and the seasons in our lives.

  • I integrate my connection to the earth as a medicine women with my clinical training to support you on your healing process.

  • I support you with rituals, heart to heart sessions and holding space for you to take off your armor.-Curanderismo is a healing system of Latin America- it comes from the Spanish word Cura, to heal.

  • Curaanderismo is an earthly, natural, grounded health care system that seeks to keep all the elements of our being in balance. We follow that old truths that illness occurs within our being with one is not living in harmony with all aspects of self and nature.

  • We hold truth that trauma causes a part of the soul to get frightened and run away in hiding.

EFT Tapping & EMDR:

  • Emotional freedom technique (EFT) is a holistic approach that connects the mind, body, and spirit. It is also referred to as tapping. 

  • EFT (Tapping), involves light tapping on specific acupressure points while speaking about the issue out loud. This combination sends a message to the amygdala in the brain. The amygdala is the part of the brain that controls our fight or flight response and the emotions that go with it. 

  • We will hold a safe & sacred space, to explore the connection between your feelings and your body.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that supports people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences.

  • I use somatic tapping in the reprocessing stage to provide you the tools
