Therapy for first-gen women informed by first-gen women, because therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all.
the intention behind the work
Therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all; we are all walking a different path. My approach to this work is to help you on your path, to see you, and, at times, to walk with you as you navigate real life and grow a life that feels like yours.
As a first-gen Dominican, I, too, live y aquí y allá. For many first-gen folks, we have witnessed our parents’ hustle and survive. And we have done the same; we have learned to do so and have gotten really good at it.
However, our path is different; your path is different. Your body may be asking for different, for a slower pace, for more intention…for space to be.
The space I hold empowers you to thrive. Together through heart-to-heart conversations and connection, we cultivate a space grounded in love… love for yourself, your family, and your community.
My intention is to empower you as you grow a life that feels like yours, that honors you and your path- and in doing so, you also honor your community, ancestors, and little you.
I work with teachers, social workers, helpers, artists, writers, and caregivers, the brave hearts and passionate souls who have chosen the path of healing, not just for themselves, but for the collective.
therapy made simple and thoughtful.
heart-strengthening therapy is therapy for the helpers. you care and love deeply…it is who you are. this care isn’t about fixing or changing you, no, it is more about helping you reconnect with you and bringing you back to your heart.
As a relational therapist, I offer weekly, biweekly, and monthly sessions. meaningful support at a pace that honors you. we move at the speed of safety and work together.
why vitual?
Planting Seeds Somatic Therapy opened right as the world shut down. What started as a small-town private practice became a statewide practice offering services to people across all areas of NY. The reality is that only 8% of therapists identify as Latina, and finding, let alone connecting with, a therapist who “gets it” can be hard. Therefore, virtual therapy gives folks the opportunity to connect with a therapist and may break a barrier or two of accessibility.
