Grounded Wisdom: Exploring Grief

This week, I want to continue exploring grief and how it can offer us direction and clarity.

Nature is one of the greatest teachers of change and grief. The earth shows us that every season has its purpose, each one necessary and sacred. When we embrace this cyclical wisdom, we remember that we are always changing, growing, and evolving.

Reframing Grief

Grief doesn’t mean something is over—it means something has transformed. It has evolved. A relationship on the outside may have ended. Still, as a result, you may have transformed into a more honest version of yourself- a loved one passed, and now your relationship can be spiritual and fulfilling in a different way than it was.

Winter will soon end, but that doesn’t mean we will never experience winter again. Seasons return. Life moves in cycles. We find ourselves in familiar places but are never quite the same.

Grieving is honoring the emotional experiences of the body.

Grief offers us clarity.

When we drop into the body and allow ourselves to feel, we slow down.

We soften what has hardened and remember what truly matters.

This is clarity—a recentering of what is important to us.

Grieving Practices:

-Create a grief playlist. Whether short or long, you know what feels right for you. Listen with intention. Let the songs move you. Light a candle and allow yourself to feel.

-Connect with your grief through journaling or voice recording. Grief is a part of you—meet it with presence. Try writing or speaking to it:

  1. Dear Grief…

    1. To my Grief…

    2. All the things I want to say to Grief…

-Read a story. Stories open the mind and create space for processing. Our imagination can build entire worlds—reading reminds us of that.

Caring for the grieving body:

Your body needs comfort. Grieving takes energy, and nourishing yourself—from the clothes you wear to the food you eat—is an act of care.

Eat warming foods-warm meals support digestion and balance in the body.

-Move gently. Movement that considers the body, not push it for results. Rest is also movement. Give yourself permission to pause.

-Ask yourself: “Is this care for the body?”

May this week bring you softness as you practice meeting yourself with love.

With Love,

Dariela <3
